Pollen and Planting

Did you know that bees make bread for their babies using pollen? They collect pollen in special sacks - can you see the yellow sacks on this bees legs?

 

Bees collect pollen from bee friendly flowers. You could try buying some seeds and planting some bee friendly flowers. If you plant the seeds now you will have some lovely flowers that bees will love in the summer holidays.

 

Bees love nasturtiums. These are very easy to grow.

 

Bees love chive flowers - they are also simple to grow from seed.
