In the classroom the children have a fruit snack during the session. Around the snack table we display works of art which the children often notice and talk about. One of their favourite artists is Arcimboldo. They find the images very funny and will often make their own fruit faces with the pieces of fruit on their plate.
You may like to cut up some chunks and slices of fruit and veg and have some fun making faces with them and then eating their artwork! Alternatively you can use whole fruits as Arcimboldo does in his pictures. Please send me any photos of your child’s creations and we can create an online gallery for them.
