Mrs Harrison’s perfect playdough

This is the recipe I use in the classroom. It was given to me by a Nursery Teacher when I started teaching and it never fails! It will keep for several weeks in an airtight container especially if you use a darker food colouring.

 

  • 2 cups of plain flour
  • 1 cup of salt
  •  3 teaspoons of cream of tartar
  • 2 tablespoons of cooking oil
  • 2 mugs water
  • food colouring

Mix all ingredients together in a pan and heat slowly keep stirring.
