    Welcome to our Nursery

Welcome to our Nursery. We offer up to 30 hours provision, Monday - Friday, during term-time. Children are welcome to attend our Nursery from the age of three.

Sacred Heart School is at the centre of our community in Teddington, and as with the main school, we welcome all Catholic and non-Catholic families.

We are here to serve our local families.

    Nursery Admissions

Sacred Heart Nursery has places for up to 26 children aged 3-4 years.  Admission to the Nursery can be arranged for September, January or April starts depending on the places available.

The Admissions Policy below details the admissions process for the September 2025-2026 intake. If places are still available after this intake then they are offered on a first come, first served basis. Please apply by the 28th March 2025.

We offer Universal 15-hour and  an EXTENDED NURSERY PROVISION to those eligible for 30 HOURS FREE CHILDCARE, and to those who are SELF-FUNDED. Places are available every day during term time (not inset days).

Tours of the Nursery are welcomed and can be arranged by contacting the school office.

    Contact info@sacredheart.richmond.sch.uk or 020 8977 6591

We also offer stay-and-play sessions which might be an enjoyable way for you and your child to experience our Nursery setting before making a decision.

The policies that govern the operation of the Nursery are the school's own policies. Admissions to the Nursery and the School are dealt with separately, and, whilst the Nursery is part of Sacred Heart’s Early Years unit, attendance at the Nursery does not guarantee entry into the Reception class, for which there is a separate Admissions procedure.

The Nursery team consists of: Mrs Kim Dell'Anno (Nursery Teacher) and Mrs Grace Perrott (Nursery Assistant).

    Current year 2024\2025 session timings

Sessions: morning 8:45-11:45am, lunch provision 11:45-12:15pm, afternoon 12:15-3:15pm.

September 2025 onwards session timings and pricing

From September 2025, we will continue to offer 15-hour universal funding places, mornings only, and extended 30-hour provision five days a week. We expect children to attend for a minimum of 15 hours. If you are not eligible for 30-hours you may pay privately for additional hours. Please contact us if your needs are different to this.

To comply with new Government guidance, from September 2025, 30-hour continuous provision will be from 8.45am – 2.45pm with the option of an additional 30 minutes to mirror the school day, if required, at a cost of £5.

Children staying all day will be required to bring a healthy packed lunch unless in receipt of EYPP when a hot lunch will be provided.

Unless paying privately for additional hours, there should be no further charges from school.

    Self-funded in the afternoons

For parents who are not entitled to 30-hour funding, there is an option to apply for extended hours at £10 per hour (£30 for a three-hour session) depending on availability.

All extended hours places will need to be booked and paid in advance each half-term or monthly by arrangement via ScoPay.  Mrs Marzena Adamik, our Finance Officer, will send a link to this system once your child has started Nursery.   Finance queries can be directed to Mrs Adamik on finance@sacredheart.richmond.sch.uk
