Braille Assembly

On Thursday 10th October, Jane Manley, Karishma Shah and Rosie, the guide dog, from the RNIB (Royal National Institute for the Blind) came into school to talk to the pupils about sight loss and the challenges it poses for people. The pupils were thoroughly engaged in the assembly and asked pertinent questions. In addition to learning about Braille and how it came to be developed, they learnt about Moon, a similar system, developed a number of years after Braille. The assembly was inspirational and we would like to thank Jane, Karishma and Rosie for taking the time to come in and share their experiences with us.
